Server/Floor Staff

We are currently hiring Server positions at The Old School House on Lark Lane. We are looking for someone who is driven, hard working and passionate about hospitality to join our team.

Availability over the festive period is essential

24th & 26th Dec (we are closed on Christmas Day) and 31st Dec & 1st Jan

A bit about the Old Schoolhouse

We are a large restaurant with a vibrant front of house team committed to delivering excellent customer service to our guests. We see a great variety of people throughout the day with some coming for drinks, a family meal or a celebration so brilliant interpersonal skills is something we strive for in out staff. We're currently in a position to offer lower hours primarily with them increasing through November into December as the festive period begins and would love to welcome some bright new personalities into our Front of House team.

Job expectations

• You must be able to greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
• Be willing to provide menu recommendations and answer questions about menu items if asked
• Upsell additional items and specials to enhance the guest experience
• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on them throughout their meal
• Process payments and handle cash transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining area

Required Skills

• Knowledge of basic food safety regulations and procedures
• Excellent hospitality and guest service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
• Basic maths skills for handling payments and making change
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred, but not required
• Confident with carrying trays of drinks
