Server/Front of House

Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling and sanitation
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering and providing correct change
• Ensure guest needs are met by checking on tables regularly and responding promptly to requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining spaces and service stations
• Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed in the kitchen or service area
• Support team members during busy periods through effective time management and teamwork

Qualifications

• Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
• Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently
• Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and inventory management
• Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and revenue
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail in serving guests and maintaining cleanliness
