Duties

• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing detailed menu descriptions and recommendations.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, side stations, and service areas throughout shifts.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Process payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and special requests.
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques.
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently.
• Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately.
• Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is advantageous.
• Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
• Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance.
