Server/Runner

Nomiya New Orleans Ramen bar is currently hiring part-time front of house positions (servers and runners). The menu is very streamlined and easy to follow. Schedule is flexible. Our hours are 11:30-9PM Sunday and Tuesday-Thursday and 11:30-10PM Friday and Saturday.

We are looking for a long-term employee with a passion for food and service. A punctual person with reliable transporation is a must. No experience is necessary. Paid training will be provided.

Duties:

• Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
• Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
• Support bar service by delivering drinks and refilling beverages.
• Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Toast.
• Upsell menu items including appetizers, drinks, or specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and beverage options to answer guest questions confidently.
• Ensure food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols are strictly followed in compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with opening or closing duties including setting up tables, restocking supplies, and cleaning work areas.
• Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to deliver a smooth dining experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or food industry roles is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast.
• Basic knowledge of sake and beer preferred but not necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while processing sales efficiently.
• Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and processing payments confidently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads when necessary.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
