Join our dynamic team as a Server or Bar Back in the most iconic Jazz club in the city. Where your energy and enthusiasm will elevate the guest experience in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. We have openings for positions in both a serving role and a barback role.As a server, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional cocktail experience through attentive, personalized service. You will guide guests through our cocktail menu, share knowledge of spirits and aperitifs, and ensure every drink is presented with care and precision. With a focus on hospitality, product knowledge, and genuine guest engagement, you will help create a memorable experience that celebrates the art of cocktails and the atmosphere of our bar. As a barback, you will be essential to the smooth operation of our bar, supporting bartenders in crafting and serving exceptional cocktails. Your responsibilities will include stocking spirits, liqueurs, and mixers, preparing garnishes, maintaining glassware, and keeping the bar clean, organized, and fully supplied. With a strong focus on efficiency, attention to detail, and teamwork, you will help create a seamless service experience while supporting the quality and consistency of every cocktail served.

Duties

• Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure a smooth dining experience
• Support bartenders by preparing bar stations, restocking supplies, and handling beverage service with efficiency
• Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve drinks and food items promptly, demonstrating excellent beverage service skills including cocktail preparation and wine knowledge
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling and cleaning procedures
• Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure all guest needs are met promptly
• Engage with guests to provide friendly customer service, answer questions about menu items, and promote upselling opportunities such as specialty drinks or food pairings

Skills

• Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales transaction processing
• Strong knowledge of beverage service, spirits, wine, and cocktail preparation
• Previous food service or restaurant experience, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
• Experience with OpenTable reservations system or similar booking platforms is a plus
• Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a lively, energetic attitude

Pay: $26.00 - $50.00 per hour
