Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks to enhance the dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems.
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing reservations through OpenTable or similar systems and seating guests efficiently

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Square POS and cashiering procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing tabs efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
