Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
• Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Upsell menu items including wine, cocktails, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, process sales transactions, and manage cash handling responsibilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and coordinate guest needs for a seamless dining experience.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales transactions.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse guests.
• Culinary experience or food industry background is preferred to better understand menu items and food handling procedures.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Basic math skills for accurate check splitting, cash handling, and sales processing.
• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently.
• Familiarity with sanitation practices, food safety standards, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
