Server/Server Assistant

Overview

Butcher & Thief Steakhouse is looking for Servers & Server Assistants to join our front of house family! In this role, you will create & support the guest experience by ensuring smooth service operations, assist/anticipate guest needs, & maintain cleanliness in the restaurant. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and commitment to hospitality will help create memorable moments for our guests.

Duties

• Engage with guests, taking food & beverage orders and directing the pace/setting of their meal.
• Ensuring that tables are manicured/bussed promptly and are efficiently reset to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
• Support food running tasks by delivering orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed and guest feedback is received.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas including dining spaces, service stations, and kitchen support areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Server and/or Server Assistant/Busser in a full-service restaurant. A fine dining and/or upscale-casual background is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience with private events (banquets, BEOs, etc) is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails is a must for Servers.
• Must have or be able to obtain an SNHD food handler's certification. Servers must also have or be able to obtain a Nevada TAM certification.
• Must be available 3/4 days per week. Open availability is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting techniques.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $12.00 per hour
