Server/Waiter

Lux Turkish Restaurant is looking for friendly, reliable waiting staff to join our front-of-house team.

We bring together Turkish cuisine, stylish surroundings and warm hospitality. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering attentive service and making every guest feel welcome, from their first greeting to their final goodbye.

You’ll work closely with our kitchen, bar and management team to keep service running smoothly and give guests a dining experience they’ll want to return for.

In this role, you will:

• Welcome guests warmly and help them settle at their tables.
• Explain the menu, answer questions and recommend dishes and drinks based on guests’ preferences.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using our ordering system.
• Record and communicate allergies and dietary requirements, checking information with the appropriate team member.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, paying attention to presentation and timing.
• Look after your tables throughout the meal, checking satisfaction and responding promptly to requests.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve a supervisor or manager when needed.
• Prepare bills and process payments accurately.
• Set up, clear and reset tables, keeping dining and service areas clean and organised.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and help with opening and closing duties.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a welcoming manner and communicates clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Is punctual, dependable and takes pride in their presentation.
• Stays organised and attentive during busy service.
• Works well within a team and notices when others need support.
• Is willing to learn our food and drinks menu and service standards.
• Is available for evening and weekend shifts.

Previous experience in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is preferred. Knowledge of Turkish cuisine is welcome, but enthusiasm for learning and a strong approach to customer service are just as valuable.
