Server/Waiter

Locally owned and operated Wood Fire pizza restaurant looking to add to our team. We are currently looking for a qualified FOH Server. Each server’s primary objective is to provide our guests with a comfortable experience by making recommendations on menu items, taking and delivering food & beverage orders, and providing outstanding service at all times. A qualified applicant must have good communication skills, a friendly, positive attitude, able to lift 10-25 pounds, carry trays, and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds. Make all of our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them
• Introduce yourself
• Inform guests of specials and menu changes
• Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoy
• Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services
• Take food and beverage orders from guests
• Deliver food and beverages
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by the service station assignment
• Anticipate the guests' needs i.e. napkins, drink refills, appetizer plates
• Build Regulars
• Maintain clean service areas and pre bus tables
• Monitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
• Prepare final bill, present the check to the guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make a change if applicable
• When dropping check, don’t travel too far, check back asap
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
