Details about the Dining Room Server position we are hiring for:

Whether you are just starting your culinary career or a seasoned server, our Dining Room is the place to be!  Our servers are responsible for delivering meals to our residents and guests in a timely manner and on a schedule.  A healthy meal along with first-class customer service is what we strive to offer our Residents!

Resident Service

• Greet residents and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take meal orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve food and beverages according to community service standards.
• Assist residents with menu selections when needed.
• Monitor resident satisfaction throughout meal service and respond to requests promptly.
• Develop positive relationships with residents and their families.

Dining Room Operations

• Set and reset dining room tables according to established standards.
• Ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Clear tables and transport dishes to the kitchen.
• Assist with meal preparation tasks as assigned.
• Maintain beverage stations and condiment supplies.
• Participate in special events, holiday meals, and catering functions.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Adhere to infection control practices and community policies.
• Handle resident dietary restrictions and special meal requests appropriately.
• Report safety concerns, accidents, or incidents to management immediately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Teamwork

• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff, caregivers, and management.
• Attend departmental meetings and required training sessions.
• Assist coworkers during busy meal periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit (as required by State regulations).
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with seniors.
• Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Works as a part of the dietary team to ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen.
• Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
• Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks
