Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

About Us

Beep Beep Cars Ltd is a family-run automotive business based in Belmont, Durham. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Service Centre Administrator to join our service centre team.

We value every member of our team as an individual and believe that as the business grows, our people should have the opportunity to grow with us.

We are not necessarily looking for someone with years of experience in this exact role. What matters most to us is finding the right person. If you are passionate about cars, have previous experience within the motor trade, have good communication and organisational skills, and are confident using computers and learning new systems, we would be interested in speaking with you.

This is a varied role that combines workshop administration, customer service, parts ordering and day-to-day workshop coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and managing workshop job cards, including technician time and job details
  • Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing the daily diary
  • Handling customer enquiries by phone, in person and through online bookings
  • Keeping customers updated on vehicle progress and expected completion times
  • Liaising with technicians to coordinate jobs and workshop workload
  • Sourcing and ordering vehicle parts online and from motor factors and parts suppliers
  • Managing parts orders, deliveries, returns and credits
  • Finalising completed jobs, including parts used and labour hours
  • Preparing customer invoices, credits and warranty documentation
  • Maintaining accurate customer, vehicle and workshop records

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is friendly, organised and comfortable working in a busy automotive environment.

Previous experience within the motor trade, garage, dealership, service centre or parts environment would be an advantage. However, extensive experience as a Service Administrator is not essential if you have the right attitude and a good understanding of the motor trade.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an interest in and good general understanding of cars
  • Have previous experience working within the motor trade
  • Have good customer service and communication skills
  • Be confident speaking with customers both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Be comfortable using computers and learning new systems
  • Be organised and able to manage several jobs at the same time
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Be comfortable working closely with technicians and other members of the team
  • Be reliable, positive and willing to learn

Core Benefits

  • 28 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays
  • Company-branded workwear provided
  • Employee discount
  • Free on-site parking
  • Employee referral scheme
  • Company pension scheme
  • Career development and progression opportunities
  • Monday to Friday working hours

Why Join Us?

If you are looking for a place where you can build your career, feel part of the team and stay for years to come, we would like to hear from you.

We believe our biggest asset is our people. We work hard to create a friendly and supportive environment where everyone is valued as an individual and enjoys working together as a team.

As our business continues to grow, we want our team to grow with us. We believe in recognising people's strengths, investing in their development and giving them opportunities to take on more responsibility and progress within the business.

For us, a good working environment is about more than simply coming to work and doing a job. It is about respect, teamwork and communication, and creating a workplace where people feel appreciated and motivated to do their best.

We are looking for someone who wants more than just their next job. We want someone looking for a long-term opportunity to develop their career and become an important part of our growing team.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we would be pleased to hear from you. Apply with your CV and tell us a little about your previous motor trade experience.
