Service Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Service Advisor to join PESAT CTM SDN BHD in Kuantan, Pahang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our automotive service operations. As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between our customers and our technical team, ensuring that every vehicle receives the attention it deserves whilst maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. This role is essential to our business success, as you will directly influence customer loyalty and the reputation of our service department.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers in a professional and courteous manner when they arrive at the service centre
• Listening to and understanding customers' vehicle concerns and service requirements
• Documenting customer information, vehicle details and service requests accurately in the system
• Providing customers with service recommendations based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle condition assessments
• Preparing detailed service quotations and explaining costs to customers in a clear and transparent manner
• Scheduling service appointments and managing the service calendar efficiently
• Liaising between customers and the technical service team to ensure all work is completed to specifications
• Keeping customers informed about the progress and status of their vehicle repairs
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving concerns professionally and promptly
• Maintaining accurate records of all service transactions and customer interactions
• Processing invoices and facilitating payment arrangements with customers
• Upselling additional services and products when appropriate, such as spare parts or maintenance packages
• Following up with customers after service completion to ensure satisfaction

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of automotive service procedures, maintenance schedules and common vehicle issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
• Proficiency in using service management software and computer systems
• Sound understanding of automotive terminology and technical specifications
• Outstanding customer service skills with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations
• Ability to work collaboratively with mechanics, technicians and other team members
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult customer situations calmly
• A valid driving licence is advantageous
• Fluency in English and Malay is essential; additional language skills are a plus
