What they need

Extreme Power Sports is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team!

As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the primary point of contact between our customers and Service Department. You’ll help customers from the moment they drop off their unit through the completion of their service, while working closely with our technicians, Parts Department, and service team to keep repairs moving efficiently.

We work with motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, and other powersports vehicles from leading brands including Polaris, Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Can-Am, Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki.

If you’re organized, enjoy working with people, can handle a fast-paced environment, and have an interest in powersports, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet service customers and listen carefully to their concerns
  • Ask questions to understand vehicle symptoms, maintenance needs, and requested services
  • Write accurate and detailed repair orders, including customer concerns, vehicle information, mileage, and requested work
  • Provide technicians with clear information to assist with diagnosis and repairs
  • Prepare estimates and communicate recommended repairs and maintenance to customers
  • Explain technician findings in clear, easy-to-understand terms
  • Obtain customer authorization before performing additional work
  • Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
  • Communicate regularly with technicians regarding diagnosis, repair progress, and additional recommendations
  • Help prioritize work and keep units moving efficiently through the Service Department
  • Schedule service appointments and coordinate customer drop-off and pickup
  • Monitor units currently in the shop and follow up on outstanding repairs, parts, and customer authorizations
  • Work closely with technicians, Parts, warranty personnel, and other dealership departments
  • Notify customers when their vehicle is complete and ready for pickup
  • Review repair orders and final invoices for accuracy
  • Review completed work and charges with customers
  • Assist with warranty and service-contract documentation when applicable
  • Collect or coordinate customer payments
  • Follow up with customers regarding completed service, outstanding parts, or units awaiting pickup
  • Assist with warranty claims and other Service Department paperwork as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities throughout a busy workday
  • Comfortable communicating with customers in person, over the phone, and electronically
  • Comfortable using computers and learning dealership software
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Powersports or automotive service experience is a strong plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and personal watercraft is a huge plus

Benefits

As a full-time member of the Extreme Power Sports team, benefits include:

  • Health insurance
  • Company-matching 401(k)
  • Paid vacation
