Service Advisor

Nauset Marine is one of the most knowledgeable, trusted, and well-respected marine facilities in Massachusetts — and has been for over 60 years. We work on some of the most interesting boats on Cape Cod, and no two days here look the same. We're looking for an organized, customer-focused professional to join our team as a full-time Service Advisor.

About the Role

As Service Advisor, you'll be the primary point of contact between our clients and our service department. You'll manage the intake and flow of service work — writing accurate work orders, keeping customers informed on their status, and making sure every interaction reflects the quality Nauset Marine is known for.

This is a role for someone who wants variety and doesn't mind a fast pace. You'll work alongside experienced managers and technicians who take real pride in their craft, on a team that supports each other and genuinely enjoys what they do.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison between customers, the service team, and technicians, in person and by phone
• Receive service requests and write clear, accurate work orders, including scope of work and parts needed
• Communicate proactively with customers on repair timelines, estimates, and status updates
• Coordinate with technicians on jobs and work orders
• Explain invoices and bill clients for work performed
• Maintain organized service records
• Suggest recommended maintenance and service upgrades when appropriate

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a service writer, service advisor, or in a high-volume customer service role preferred — marine background a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple jobs at once
• Working knowledge of marine systems (mechanical, electrical, rigging) a plus
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Experience with Dockmaster or similar marina management software a plus
• A genuine interest in boating and the marine industry
