Through Inchcape Automotive Retail New Zealand, we deliver exceptional customer experiences across our LDV dealership network, supporting customers throughout their ownership journey.

About the role
We're looking for a customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Wellington team and become the key link between our customers and workshop operations.

As the face of our Aftersales department, you'll manage the end-to-end service experience, from booking vehicles in for servicing and repairs through to final vehicle handover and payment. You'll work closely with technicians, workshop controllers and customers to ensure service work is completed efficiently while keeping customers informed throughout the process.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate vehicle service bookings and repair orders
  • Prepare accurate service quotations and explain work required to customers
  • Liaise with technicians and workshop controllers regarding repair progress
  • Keep customers updated throughout the servicing and repair process
  • Upsell additional service and repair work where appropriate
  • Process customer payments and finalise repair orders
  • Coordinate loan vehicles, vehicle drop-offs and collections
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver a Customer First experience
  • Ensure compliance with warranty, recall and dealership procedures
  • Support workshop productivity and service department performance initiatives

About you
You are a customer-focused professional who enjoys building rapport and creating positive experiences for customers. You can confidently communicate technical information in a way customers understand and are comfortable handling multiple priorities in a busy environment.

You thrive on providing solutions, managing expectations and ensuring customers feel informed and supported throughout their service experience.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Full New Zealand Driver's Licence with no restrictions
  • Automotive industry experience, ideally within Aftersales or Service Advisory environments highly regarded
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and technicians
  • Experience preparing quotations and discussing repair costs
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Sales and upselling capability
  • Dealership experience will be highly regarded

We offer you

  • Automotive Industry Exposure: Gain hands-on experience across dealership operations, sales and service functions
  • Global Organisation: Start or continue your career with one of the world's leading automotive distribution and retail businesses
  • Team-Focused Culture: Work alongside experienced sales, service and operations professionals in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Customer-Focused Role: Be the key contact for customers throughout their ownership journey
