Duties

• Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
• Advise clients on recommended repairs and maintenance, including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension, alignment, shocks & struts, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and collision repair
• Use estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates
• Upsell additional services and parts to enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting dealership sales goals
• Coordinate with technicians and parts departments to schedule repairs efficiently and communicate customer expectations clearly
• Write detailed service reports and maintain comprehensive records of all transactions and communications
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely while providing excellent client communication throughout the service process

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in auto service management within a dealership or automotive repair environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician preferred
• Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, air brake systems, alignment, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, diesel engine repair, and collision repair techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally
• Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and client trust
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential
• Sales experience or background in automobile sales is a plus
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage multiple tasks efficiently
