Moulton Main Garage – Northampton

Salary: £28,000–£36,000+ per annum, depending on experience

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30, with Saturdays on a rotational basis.

About the Role

Moulton Main Garage is looking for a motivated, organised and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Northampton.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a professional approach and the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a busy garage environment. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive excellent service, from their initial enquiry through to the completion of work on their vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling customer enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
• Preparing quotes for servicing, repairs and other vehicle work.
• Booking vehicles into the workshop and coordinating appointments.
• Carrying out general administrative duties, including updating customer records and maintaining accurate job files.
• Ordering parts and liaising with suppliers to ensure parts are available when required.
• Communicating effectively with technicians to monitor job progress and workshop schedules.
• Keeping customers informed of repair progress, additional work required and associated costs.
• Preparing invoices and assisting with the smooth running of the service department.
• Delivering a high standard of customer service and helping to build long-term customer relationships.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a Service Advisor role or a similar automotive position would be advantageous.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
• Confident using computers and handling administrative work.
• Good attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team.

Automotive experience would be beneficial, but we are keen to hear from candidates who have the right attitude, transferable skills and a strong customer-focused approach.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary of £28,000–£36,000+, depending on experience.
