Service Advisor

About the role

Burdekin Motors is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy service department in Ayr.

Representing 7 automotive brands — Mitsubishi, Nissan, MG, Kia, Mazda, Isuzu and Suzuki — this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is well organised and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

You will play an important role in supporting our service team of three and ensuring our customers receive a professional, friendly and seamless service experience from booking through to vehicle collection.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide a friendly, professional meet-and-greet experience.
• Manage service bookings, vehicle check-ins and customer enquiries.
• Liaise closely with the workshop team to coordinate vehicle servicing, monitor job progress and keep customers informed.
• Communicate with customers throughout the servicing process, including updates, recommendations and approvals.
• Follow up customers after servicing to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Help improve our Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) results across all six brands.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure a smooth, efficient service experience.

About you

• Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Is organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Is confident communicating with customers and building lasting relationships.
• Takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering a high standard of service.
• Previous automotive service advising or dealership experience would be an advantage, but is not essential for the right candidate.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail or another customer-facing industry will also be considered.
