Service advisor/ coordinator

About the role

Working alongside the Service Manager, you will be a key member of our service department, helping keep the workshop running efficiently. You will ensure servicing and repairs are scheduled, jobs are followed through and completed, parts are ordered and customers are kept informed.

Key responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating planned servicing and repairs
• Booking technicians and allocating workshop and field service jobs
• Monitoring service jobs from start to completion
• Opening, updating and closing service jobs
• Following up outstanding repairs and breakdowns
• Ordering parts and tracking deliveries
• Liaising with suppliers and parts departments
• Communicating with customers regarding repairs, servicing and machine availability
• Preparing and following up quotes
• Ensuring service paperwork and job information is completed correctly

About you

• Highly organised and able to manage multiple jobs at once
• Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and technicians
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Computer literate and comfortable using service/job management systems
• Good at following jobs through from booking → parts → repair → paperwork → completion
• Able to prioritise urgent breakdowns and scheduled servicing
• Strong attention to detail
• Proactive and not afraid to pick up the phone and chase things up
• Comfortable working in a busy workshop environment
• A team player with a positive attitude
