The Role

Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, Beacon Detection is looking for a Service & Projects Coordinator to join our existing team.

This is a new position within the business, created to provide additional coordination across our service, remedial and project works.

Working closely with our management team, engineers, customers, suppliers and subcontractors, you will help ensure works are properly organised, communicated and progressed through to completion.

This is a busy and varied role and would suit someone who enjoys coordinating people and jobs, solving problems and keeping multiple priorities moving at the same time.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating engineers and scheduling service, remedial and project works
• Managing engineer diaries and responding to changing priorities
• Monitoring ongoing jobs and following up outstanding actions
• Liaising with customers regarding appointments, progress and works
• Coordinating materials, equipment and subcontractors
• Liaising with suppliers and following up orders and deliveries
• Supporting projects from order through to completion
• Ensuring engineers have the information and resources required for scheduled works
• Reviewing job information and ensuring paperwork and records are complete
• Helping resolve day-to-day issues that could delay works
• Maintaining accurate information within our job management system
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure customers and engineers are kept informed

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks
• Confident communicating with customers, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors
• Able to adapt quickly when schedules or priorities change
• Good at following things through rather than simply passing them on
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records
• A strong team player with a practical, problem-solving approach

Previous experience coordinating engineers, field-based teams, service works, maintenance or projects would be particularly beneficial.

Experience within the fire and security industry is not essential. We would also welcome applicants from electrical, engineering, facilities management, HVAC, renewables, construction, maintenance or other field-service environments.

Working arrangements

This is a full-time, predominantly office-based position at our Brecon office.

Normal working hours are 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Salary: £28,000–£32,000 depending on experience.
