Service Assistant

Position Overview

Fauna is seeking a dependable and attentive Service Assistant to help the restaurant team deliver smooth, well-organized service. This is a hands-on support position for someone who enjoys a lively dining environment, notices what needs attention, and takes pride in helping guests and coworkers throughout the shift.

Your Role

• Help prepare the dining room and service areas before service begins
• Support servers and front-of-house staff throughout the shift
• Deliver food, beverages, dishes, and service items to tables
• Clear and reset tables efficiently between guests
• Keep service stations clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Replenish glassware, cutlery, napkins, condiments, and other essentials
• Assist guests with basic requests and direct questions to the appropriate team member
• Help maintain a smooth flow between the kitchen and dining room
• Assist with transporting dishes and supplies safely and efficiently
• Keep guest-facing areas clean and presentable throughout service
• Communicate supply needs or service issues to supervisors
• Support setup, breakdown, opening, and closing routines
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety standards

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is an asset
• Friendly, professional, and service-minded attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a busy dining environment
• Good attention to cleanliness, organization, and presentation
• Able to stay active and focused throughout the shift
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative
• Quick learner with a positive approach to new responsibilities

Pay: $17.60-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
