Service Bartender

Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences, offer tailored drink suggestions, and create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; handle cash handling duties efficiently while maintaining accountability.
• Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and communicating needs to management proactively.
• Develop new beverage recipes and contribute creative ideas to enhance our drink menu offerings.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy periods such as banquets or nightclub events.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs, recognizing intoxication signs, and adhering to legal regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bartending within fine dining, nightclub, or catering environments; familiarity with food service operations is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, spirits, brewing processes, and craft beer trends.
• Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash accurately.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts; experience in bar management is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of beverages in compliance with health regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events such as banquets or nightclub nights.
• Previous experience in hospitality industry roles involving serving alcohol, cashiering, or retail math is highly desirable.
