Service Center Rep / Material Handler

Full Job Description Job Description - Shipping and Receiving Specialist Schedule: Monday - Friday 1-930pm $18.50 + .50 shift differential = $19/hr Summary This position coordinates the movement of customer's materials from suppliers through our Service Center Network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches of all service requirements from local pickups through deliveries.
• Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customer
• Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers
• Responsible for inter-company and intra-company communication.
• Works with planning group on coordinating facility out bound volume
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers
• Prepare all inbound and outbound documentation
• Additional clerical duties as assigned
• Validation and verification of materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes
• Generate reports providing Dock Coordinator’s with the critical shipping information
• This job may require overseeing of loading activities (varies by center).

Other Skills And Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; internet software; inventory software; order processing systems; spreadsheet software and word processing software.
