Job Summary

Black Bear Diner Boise - State St is seeking a friendly and dependable Service team member to help create a welcoming dining experience for every guest. This role supports daily restaurant service by assisting guests, maintaining clean dining areas, supporting servers, and helping the team deliver efficient service during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide courteous, attentive service.
• Assist servers with food running, table clearing, and resetting tables.
• Keep dining areas, booths, and service stations clean and organized.
• Restock napkins, utensils, condiments, beverages, and other service supplies.
• Assist with takeout orders and guest requests when needed.
• Communicate guest needs clearly to servers, hosts, and management.
• Help maintain an efficient flow of service during busy shifts.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant cleanliness standards.
• Assist with opening, closing, and assigned side-work duties.
• Work cooperatively with front-of-house and kitchen team members.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful but not required.
• Friendly attitude and strong communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and carrying restaurant items throughout a shift.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
