Service Coordinator

Provide excellent customer service

• Build rapport with all customers through clear communication in person, by phone, text, and via email
• Be an excellent listener and concise notetaker while writing in service jobs
• Know the status of all customer units in the shop and communicate current status, as well as additional work that may be needed to the customer
• Promptly return all phone calls, texts, and emails
• Contact new boat owners for questions within 1-2 weeks of delivery
• Handle complaints with fairness to all parties
• Maintain knowledge base of all service, sales, and products offered
• Work with customers to complete manufacture surveys to ensure the dealership maintains NPS & CSI award status

Coordinate shop

• Work with shop foreman to assign jobs for technicians and supervise repair order flow
• Utilize all the shop people in the way that will be most profitable for the dealership
• Create/ maintain a positive and respectful employee environment between each other and customers
• Promote and maintain a clean and organized environment
• Prepare for all boat, motor, and trailer deliveries. Boats should be inspected for cleaning, damages, equipment, and options.

Administrative

• Provide accurate summary of repairs on work orders and make recommendations
• Audit repair orders to ensure all jobs have been completed, parts billed with price accuracy, and labor and sublet recorded
• Work with manufactures and insurance companies to problem solve
• Obtain new business through development and control of service promotion and advertising
• Administer warranty jobs in the best interest of the customer, dealer, and manufacturer
• Stay up to date on manufacture warranty procedures and requirements and fulfill accordingly
• Perform run outs for all new and used boat and engine deliveries
• Evaluate service department performance using daily operating records
• Attend meetings as assigned by dealership management
• Coordinate with Shop Foreman and Parts Manager to ensure days off / vacations days have complete coverage
• Work boat shows and special events as assigned by dealership management
• Perform other administrative duties as required

Schedule

Summer (~Mar to Nov) Monday - Friday 9am-5pm / Saturday 9am-2pm

Winter (~Dec to Feb) Tuesday - Friday 8am-5pm / Saturday 9am-2pm

*Schedule adjustments may be required based on workload and scheduled deliveries.*
