Service Crew

Employment Type: Full-time

The Palmalayan Company is seeking a dedicated and responsible Floor Service Crew to join our restaurant team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Restaurant Manager, supervisors and floor service team to ensure smooth daily restaurant operations, excellent customer service and proper food safety, hygiene and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience.
• Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements.
• Present menus, explain menu items and provide recommendations when required.
• Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages according to The Palmalayan Company’s service standards.
• Ensure food and beverages are served accurately, promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area, tables, chairs and service stations.
• Perform table setup, clearing and resetting according to restaurant standards.
• Handle customer enquiries, requests and complaints professionally.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar team to ensure smooth service operations.
• Ensure customers’ special requests and dietary requirements are communicated to the relevant team.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and halal requirements during service.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including daily cleaning and service preparation.
• Minimise wastage and handle restaurant equipment and service items responsibly.
• Follow instructions from the Restaurant Manager and supervisors.
• Assist with other floor service duties when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in restaurant or customer service is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is an advantage.
• Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and halal practices is an advantage.
• Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure during busy service.
• A team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Disciplined, punctual, responsible and willing to learn.
• Well-groomed and able to maintain professional service standards.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
