Role Description

As a Service Delivery Engineer, you will serve as the technical lead for complex customer engagements, bridging solution delivery and solution architecture. You will be responsible for leading implementation planning, validating solution designs, providing technical governance throughout project execution, and acting as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal stakeholders. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, mentoring, and customer-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and delivery of complex infrastructure, storage, data protection, cloud, and multi-technology projects, ensuring successful deployment and customer satisfaction.
• Execute approved designs and deployment plans while validating technical requirements, prerequisites, and readiness prior to implementation.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact during project execution, troubleshooting issues and driving resolution of complex technical challenges.
• Deploy, configure, integrate, and validate solutions in accordance with approved designs, operational standards, security requirements, and quality best practices.
• Perform implementation readiness reviews, health checks, testing, and post-deployment validation activities to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, Customer Engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
• Identify technical risks, implementation dependencies, and delivery issues, proactively driving mitigation and escalation activities when necessary.
• Ensure all project documentation, implementation records, deployment reports, and governance requirements are accurately completed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer technical teams and operational stakeholders, ensuring a smooth deployment experience and effective knowledge transfer.
• Mentor and support junior Service Delivery Engineers by sharing technical expertise, implementation best practices, and lessons learned.
• Contribute to operational readiness activities, including customer handover, knowledge transfer sessions, and post-implementation support coordination.

Experience & Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in Professional Services, Technical Consulting, Service Delivery, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proven experience delivering and implementing complex enterprise infrastructure and data protection solutions.
• Deep expertise in Data Protection Solutions, including: Dell EMC Data Domain, Avamar, NetWorker, PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM), Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS), vProtect, CyberSense.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading technical workstreams and coordinating cross-functional teams in enterprise environments.
