Service Electrician – Electrical / Commissioning

About the opportunity

This role is with a well-established MEP/EPC contracting organisation based in Gurgaon, delivering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire-protection systems across industrial and commercial projects. The hiring is being managed by Cusec Consulting, a management and talent-advisory firm partnering with leading real-estate, infrastructure and MEP/EPC organisations.

We are hiring a Service Electrician – Electrical / Commissioning to carry out installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems at project and client sites.

Role overview

Working under the Service Engineer / Service Head – Electrical, the Service Electrician carries out installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems, along with preventive and breakdown maintenance at client sites — diagnosing and repairing faults safely, performing electrical testing and measurement, and supporting commissioning activities while maintaining accurate records and safe working practices.

Key responsibilities

1. Installation, testing and commissioning. Carry out installation, testing and commissioning of LT panels, distribution boards, cabling, lighting, DG sets, UPS and ELV/low-current systems.

2. Preventive and breakdown maintenance. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and attend breakdown calls on electrical systems at client sites under AMC/O&M.

3. Fault finding and repair. Diagnose electrical faults, carry out repairs, terminations and re-wiring, and restore supply safely within SLA timelines.

4. Testing and measurement. Perform functional, insulation (megger), continuity, earth and load testing using standard instruments, and record readings.

5. Commissioning support. Support commissioning — pre-checks, energisation, functional checks and snag closure — in coordination with the engineer.

6. Safety and records. Follow electrical safety and LOTO procedures and PPE, maintain tools, and complete service/commissioning reports and checklists accurately.

Required qualifications and skills

• ITI (Electrician) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–6 years’ hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, testing and commissioning.
• Practical knowledge of LT panels, wiring, terminations and electrical fault finding.
• Ability to use testing instruments (multimeter, megger, clamp meter) and read electrical drawings.
• Strong awareness of electrical safety and LOTO practices.

Preferred (good to have)

• Wireman / electrical supervisor licence.
• Exposure to DG sets, UPS and ELV systems.
• Two-wheeler with a valid driving licence.
