Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Application Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and application service of Park Systems Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Optical Metrology systems. This role will primarily support industrial customers in Singapore, with occasional travel across Southeast Asia as business needs arise. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, internal sales teams, and the headquarters Customer Support team in Korea to ensure best-in-class technical service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, calibrate, and qualify Park Systems AFM and Optical Metrology equipment at customer sites.
• Provide preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and field service support to customers.
• Deliver basic application support, user guidance, and operational training for customers.
• Respond promptly to technical issues and service requests to minimize equipment downtime.
• Work closely with HQ Customer Support / Engineering teams in Korea on escalations, technical analysis, and service improvement activities.
• Prepare and submit service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain ownership of assigned customer accounts and service cases through full resolution.
• Support spare parts coordination, logistics, and service planning when required.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to identify service opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Perform work in cleanroom environments while complying with all site safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics, or related discipline).

• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in field service, equipment support, or applications engineering within the equipment industry.

• Independent, responsible, and customer-oriented with strong ownership mindset.

• Willingness to travel regionally on short notice when required.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic customer-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting semiconductor fabs, R&D labs, or industrial manufacturing customers.
• Familiarity with AFM, optical inspection, surface analysis, or precision metrology systems.
• Experience working in a multinational organization with regional responsibilities.
