Service Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Carry out installation, commissioning, testing, and start-up activities of steam turbines, ensuring that the required procedures and activities are properly carried out to support the successful and smooth operation of the steam turbine.

• Perform preventive maintenance and major overhauls of steam turbines to ensure that the equipment is properly maintained and remains in good operating condition.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues related to steam turbines, ensuring that identified technical problems are properly investigated and addressed.

• Coordinate and communicate with customers, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure the smooth and effective execution of assigned jobs and activities in accordance with the required work arrangements.

• Provide technical guidance, support, and training to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of steam turbines, ensuring that customers have the necessary knowledge and understanding to operate and maintain the equipment effectively.

• Continuously improve and enhance technical knowledge and skills, while keeping updated with various steam turbine models, new turbine models, technologies, and related technical developments to support the effective execution of assigned work.

• Perform any other tasks, duties, or activities as assigned by the superior or management from time to time, as required to support the smooth execution of work and other related responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering qualification from a recognized institution.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with relevant academic knowledge and a strong interest in developing a career in the engineering and technical field.

• Good command of English is required, with additional languages will be an advantage

• Willing to travel locally and overseas as required for work assignments, site visits, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and other related activities.

• Possess good problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions when handling work-related matters.

• Customer-focused with good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to understand and respond to customer requirements effectively.

• Possess good technical competency and a willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge and skills relevant to the position and assigned responsibilities.

• Demonstrate a positive attitude, responsible work ethic, and willingness to learn, with the ability to carry out assigned tasks responsibly and work effectively with others.
