Service Engineer

Purpose Service Engineer is responsible for the technical support of the maintenance of the vehicles in the workshop and provides corrective and preventative maintenance program as well as other after-sales technical support solutions.

Duties

• Coordinate the work schedule of workshop personnel as instructed by the workshop manager.
• Ensure sufficient supplies and equipments available to be used for maintenance.
• Process necessary paperwork for invoicing the labour hours and managing data recording & collection from the workshop.
• Supervisory responsibilities include training of new personnel and evaluating employee performance.
• Plan, organize, schedule, and assign all aspects of work to include minor and major repairs or preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and update the workshop equipment and troubleshooting equipment.
• Establish and oversee safety standards to insure that the workshop complies with safety policies.
• Monitor and update the preventive maintenance program.
• Ensure that the shop is in excellent condition in regard to cleanliness, safety,equipment condition, and conducting periodic spot checks to maintain high-quality service.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using equipment, such as compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.
• Confer with service consultants to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements.
• Prepare technical cases report to dealership whenever required.
• Support team leader and assist when ever required
• New repair technologies implementation.

Education

• B.Sc. in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or any related field.
• Diploma in Automotive Discipline.
