Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Service Engineer to provide after-sales support for construction machinery. You will perform on-site troubleshooting, equipment repair and preventive maintenance for our customers across Malaysia. This role requires frequent site visits to diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults, prepare service reports and maintain good client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out on-site inspection, fault diagnosis, repair and preventive maintenance of construction machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and simple electrical issues of equipment.
• Prepare complete service reports after each site visit, record spare parts consumption.
• Timely respond to customer after-sales enquiries and technical complaints.
• Explain machine operation and daily maintenance procedures to end customers.
• Coordinate with internal warehouse team for spare parts preparation and service scheduling.
• Collect equipment failure feedback and report technical issues to the headquarters.
• Maintain service tools and ensure all site safety rules are followed.

About you

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in construction machinery after-sales repair.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and diagnose hydraulic & mechanical faults independently.
• Possess valid Malaysian Driving License (Class D), willing to travel frequently around Malaysia.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English.
• Self-motivated, good problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure.
• Experience with crusher, batching plant or construction heavy machinery is an advantage.
