Service Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Visit customer sites for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems.
• Provide on-site technical support and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per service schedules and SLA requirements.
• Diagnose technical faults and implement appropriate solutions to minimize system downtime.
• Coordinate with customers, internal teams, OEMs, and vendors for technical support and issue resolution.
• Support project teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, site visit reports, and other required documentation.
• Ensure all service activities are completed in accordance with company procedures, safety standards, and customer requirements.
• Maintain proper records of tools, spare parts, equipment, and materials used at customer sites.
• Provide technical guidance to customers on the operation and basic maintenance of installed systems.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the Service Manager, OEM, or relevant technical team when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical
• 1-3 years of experience in field service, installation, commissioning, or technical support.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of networking, electrical/ELV systems, data cabling, or related infrastructure will be an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and system documentation.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with internal and external teams.
