Service Engineer

Position: Service Engineer – Biomedical EquipmentJob Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to handle the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, servicing, and preventive maintenance of biomedical equipment and machines. The candidate will also be responsible for customer demonstrations, service documentation, and effective communication with manufacturers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and ensure the proper functioning of biomedical equipment and machines at customer sites.
• Conduct troubleshooting, servicing, repair, and maintenance of biomedical devices and equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and ensure equipment is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Identify technical issues and provide timely and effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Prepare and maintain accurate service reports, preventive maintenance reports, installation reports, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with manufacturers regarding technical issues, troubleshooting, spare parts, service requirements, and product-related queries.
• Communicate professionally with manufacturers through email and other written communication channels in English.
• Conduct equipment demonstrations and provide basic operational guidance to customers, doctors, biomedical engineers, and other end users.
• Support customers in understanding the proper operation, handling, and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide timely technical support.
• Travel to customer locations as required for installation, service, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Handle multiple service requirements and work effectively under pressure while maintaining service quality and professionalism.
• Maintain a high level of dedication, responsibility, discipline, and commitment towards assigned tasks.
• Follow company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable safety standards during all service activities.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).
• Relevant technical certifications or additional training in biomedical equipment will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills in biomedical equipment and machines.
• Good understanding of installation, servicing, maintenance, and equipment operation.
• Good written English communication skills for professional email correspondence with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Good spoken English communication skills for equipment demonstrations and communication with customers, doctors, and biomedical engineers.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage service requirements efficiently and work under pressure.
• Dedicated, responsible, and result-oriented approach to assigned responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as required.
• A valid driving license would be an added advantage.

Experience

• Previous experience in biomedical equipment installation, servicing, troubleshooting, or preventive maintenance is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn may also be considered.
