Service Engineer

Summary of Job Description

Service Engineers are responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and correction of all equipment (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) sold by the company. They offer off-site corrective and preventive maintenance as well as other after-sales technical support solutions. Service Engineers are also often assisting the Senior Service Engineer to interact with customers to provide information and procedures to address the inquiries, concerns and requests to their products and services. They are also responsible in supervising the Asst. Service Engineers and all rank technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems and instrumentation engineering works, hook up, installation and commissioning for all (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) equipment.
• Prepare technical documents i.e. work pack, JMS and JHA related to the planned work.
• Perform service jobs offshore/onshore locations with various clients involved.
• Attend to and troubleshoot project engineering problems.
• Conduct regular site visit/surveys and inspections to ensure engineering works are complying.
• Prepare and submit all required documents and reports for jobs undertaken.
• Prepare/edit drawing (CAD drawings)/details/methods of statement/specifications and all technical requirements according to client specifications
• Updating service job database.
• Perform housekeeping for Matco services tools and equipment whenever necessary.
• Request for quotation for equipment/items from vendor needed for specific projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering - Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation
• Work experience in Technical and Service
• 1-3 years experience in Oil and Gas Industry
• Able to maintain client relationships.
• Able to discuss technical problems with clients & recommend action to be taken.
• Experience in prepare/edit drawing
