This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for the full delivery of commissioning and service projects, while leading field service resources, developing your team, and becoming a key technical point of contact for customers across a range of industrial equipment and engineered systems.

This established organisation provides specialist engineered equipment and technical solutions to industrial customers, with a strong focus on technical expertise, customer support, and long-term relationships. This role offers the opportunity for an experienced engineer to transition into management, with the autonomy to improve service processes, develop people, and take ownership of project delivery.

In this role, you will take ownership of commissioning and service projects, working closely with customers and field service support on CAPEX orders while managing resources, schedules, budgets, troubleshooting, and project delivery. You'll also support technician utilisation, safety, training, and field performance, giving you genuine ownership of both the projects you deliver and the team supporting them.

This role would suit an Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Automation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Technical Project Engineer looking to move into management.

The Role:

• Taking ownership of commissioning and service projects, managing delivery, budgets, resources, customer communication, troubleshooting, and project scope.
• Leading and developing field service resources, coordinating technician schedules while supporting utilisation, safety, training, and overall field performance.
• Building strong customer relationships and working with sales teams to identify opportunities across upgrades, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and other service activities.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Controls, Automation, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Experience working with industrial machinery, industrial systems, engineered equipment, or automation, with exposure to customers, service delivery, commissioning, technical support, or project delivery.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to understand electrical, electronic and control systems, interpret technical drawings, and lead technical teams through complex issues.
