Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join ADVANCED GLOBAL ALLIANCE SDN. BHD., a leading organisation in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering sector. This is a full-time position based at our facility in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah. As a Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising our electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, directly contributing to the company's success and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical and electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using specialised testing tools and diagnostic equipment
• Repair or replace faulty components and systems, documenting all work carried out in maintenance records
• Conduct preventative maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime and extend asset lifecycle
• Provide technical support to operational teams and respond promptly to service calls and equipment failures
• Collaborate with engineers and management to identify system improvements and implement solutions
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and service reports
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies whilst working with electrical and electronic systems

What we're looking for

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical certification
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with semiconductor test equipment (ATE), ideally including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, circuit design, and equipment operation
• Proficiency in using testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and SMUs and other measurement instruments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to fault diagnosis
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Basic understanding of test programs; experience with C, Python or LabVIEW is a plus
• Experience with power semiconductors (IGBT, MOSFET, SiC, GaN) is a strong plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations as required
