Service Engineer - Davao

About the role

The Service Engineer shall assist the Service Supervisor/Service Manager in executing the day-to-day operation of the Service and After-sales Department. The role encompasses administrative functions, technical support, customer support, and logistics support across service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Managing service activities of all equipment within the area of jurisdiction and ensuring scheduled and emergency servicing are executed within target response times
• Coordinating with Head Office Service Base and Service Teams regarding day-to-day service activities
• Managing Service Team activities including reviewing service job orders, service documents, scheduling manpower and equipment assignments, and ensuring completeness of preparations prior to dispatch
• Monitoring Service Personnel/Teams status during dispatch and reporting to superiors until job completion
• Reviewing service reports and executing follow-up actions with customers, service personnel, superiors and other departments
• Managing Service Information and Database of all operating equipment including warranty status, service agreements, equipment history and manpower roster
• Forecasting parts and materials requirements and recommending purchasing or stock replenishment
• Leading, supporting and assisting Service Personnel/Teams and recommending personnel actions when necessary
• Inspecting project sites and coordinating with customers regarding service and technical matters
• Testing, commissioning and servicing of company-supplied equipment
• Analyzing technical aspects of service job orders and recommending necessary plans of action
• Validating accuracy and ensuring timely submission of equipment delivery reports for warranty registration
• Coordinating with Equipment Principals regarding warranty, training and technical support matters
• Regularly visiting and coordinating with customers to promote goodwill and achieve high customer satisfaction
• Leading, supporting and assisting Service Personnel/Teams in equipment receiving inspection, storage maintenance and pre-delivery inspection
• Monitoring service vehicles and validating requisitions for maintenance and repair requirements

About you

• Graduate of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering course
• 2-3 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of basic technical reporting
• Knowledge and practice of advanced safety procedures
• Knowledge of detailed heavy equipment systems
• Ability to perform and lead basic to advanced heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Ability to perform and lead equipment inspection (RI, PDI)
• Ability to perform and lead equipment testing and commissioning
• Ability to perform and lead basic to advanced troubleshooting and minor to major repairs
• Scheduling of resources for service execution
