Service Engineer (Marine)

Responsibilities

Provide technical service support for marine engines, pumps, and onboard equipment.

Perform installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Attend vessels for field service, emergency breakdowns, commissioning, and sea trials.

Conduct functional testing and verify equipment and engine performance.

Prepare service reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.

Advise customers on maintenance, repairs, equipment condition, and performance improvements.

Identify spare parts and recommend solutions based on inspection findings.

Investigate equipment failures and implement root-cause and corrective actions.

Coordinate with engineering, project, and service teams to resolve technical issues.

Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and retrofit projects.

Maintain accurate records of service activities, tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Provide local and overseas technical support, including on-call emergency services.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Engineering or a relevant technical field.

At least 2 years of experience in marine or onboard service engineering preferred.

Experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.

Willingness to travel locally and internationally.

Self-motivated, responsible, hardworking, and eager to learn.
