Service Engineer ( waste-water )

About the role

Provide servicing, maintenance and technical support for wastewater and industrial effluent treatment systems. This role involves conducting site inspections, troubleshooting, testing and preventive maintenance, monitoring system performance, and liaising with customers to resolve technical and operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide servicing, maintenance and technical support for wastewater and industrial effluent treatment systems
• Conduct site inspections, troubleshooting, testing and preventive maintenance
• Monitor wastewater treatment system performance and identify operational issues
• Carry out equipment servicing, repair and basic system adjustments
• Prepare service reports, inspection reports and other technical documentation
• Liaise with customers and site personnel to resolve technical and operational issues
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of wastewater treatment equipment
• Ensure treatment systems are operated and maintained in accordance with applicable requirements
• Provide technical advice to customers on proper system operation and maintenance
• Travel to customer sites when required

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
• CePIETSO qualification is required/preferred
• 1–2 years of working experience in wastewater treatment, industrial effluent treatment, environmental engineering or a related field
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment
• Knowledge of pumps, blowers, dosing systems, aeration systems and related wastewater treatment equipment will be an advantage
• Familiarity with DOE Malaysia requirements is an added advantage
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel to customer/project sites
• Possess a valid driving licence
