Service Engineer (WWTP) / 污水处理厂服务工程师

About the Role

Darco Water Systems Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Service Engineer / O&M Engineer to join our team. The role will be responsible for overseeing daily plant operations and maintenance, providing technical support, managing site teams, and ensuring that our water and industrial effluent treatment systems operate safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and the ability to work closely with customers and site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Supervisors and Technicians in daily plant operations and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all operation and maintenance activities meet customer requirements and agreed service standards.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure monthly KPIs are consistently achieved.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for water and industrial effluent treatment systems.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns, breakdowns and operational issues, and provide practical solutions.
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on plant performance and maintenance issues.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports covering team performance, operational updates, plant status and key issues to Management.
• Coordinate with customers, internal teams and site personnel to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, operational efficiency and maintenance practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• CePIETSO-BP or PCP certification is an added advantage.
• Experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial effluent treatment or plant O&M will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate and work effectively with a team.
• Hands-on and practical approach with good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is preferred to support communication with clients.
• Multiple work locations available: Selangor, Malacca, Muar, and Johor Bahru (JB)
