What they need

Do You Take Pride in Getting the Job Right?

At Cavender Auto Group, we believe great technicians do more than repair vehicles—they diagnose carefully, follow the right process, solve problems, and take pride in the quality of their work.

We are looking for an Automotive Technician who is detail-oriented, mechanically minded, dependable, and committed to doing the job right the first time.

If you enjoy diagnosing problems, working with your hands, following manufacturer specifications, solving technical challenges, and producing work you can stand behind, we want to meet you.

Why Cavender?

Cavender is a family-owned and operated automotive group built on four values:

Integrity | Empowerment | Commitment | Innovation

We believe our technicians should have the training, tools, information, and support needed to be successful. We also believe in developing our people and creating opportunities to build a long-term career.

What you can expect:

  • Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Long/Short-term disability
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Paid Birthday Day off
  • Manufacturer and ongoing technical training
  • Career progression and opportunities for advancement
  • A team-focused environment with experienced leadership
  • A strong focus on work/life balance
  • A company that invests in its people and community

What You'll Do

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles while meeting manufacturer, dealership, safety, and quality standards.

Your work will include:

    • Perform oil and filter changes on a variety of vehicles following manufacturer and dealership standards.

    • Conduct multi-point inspections, checking fluid levels, belts, hoses, tires, and other key systems.

    • Rotate and balance tires as needed.
Top off fluids (coolant, transmission, windshield washer, brake, power steering).
Check and replace air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades when required.

    • Communicate inspection results and additional service recommendations to Service Advisors.

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service bay and work area.

    • Properly dispose of used oil, filters, and other materials according to environmental regulations.

    • Ensure tools and equipment are in safe operating condition.

    • Follow all dealership safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.

    • Provide excellent customer service by treating vehicles and customer property with care.
Assist other technicians as needed and support overall shop workflow.

What We Look For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail
  • Enjoys diagnosing problems and finding the correct solution
  • Follows processes, specifications, and safety standards
  • Is dependable, organized, and consistent
  • Can work independently while contributing to a strong team
  • Understands that doing it right is more important than doing it twice
  • Is committed to continuous learning and improving technical skills
  • Treats customers, coworkers, and their equipment with respect
