Service Manager

About the role

As Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the service and lead our team to deliver high-quality education and care.

Key responsibilities

• Leading, supporting and mentoring the educator team
• Managing daily service operations, staffing and rostering
• Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and service policies
• Supporting the development and delivery of engaging, child-led programmes
• Maintaining a strong culture of child safety and wellbeing
• Building positive relationships with children, families, schools and the wider community
• Supporting enrolments, family communication and general administration
• Monitoring service practices and contributing to continuous improvement
• Coordinating before school, after school and vacation care operations
• Managing incidents, risk assessments and workplace health and safety requirements

About you

• Is a confident, approachable and supportive leader
• Has experience working in OSHC, education or an early childhood setting
• Can build a positive and accountable team culture
• Has strong organisational and time-management skills
• Communicates professionally with children, families, educators and stakeholders
• Understands the National Quality Framework and compliance requirements
• Values children's voices and can support meaningful, play-based programming
• Can remain calm, make sound decisions and manage competing priorities
• Is motivated to help a growing service continue to develop and succeed
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain: An ACECQA-approved qualification suitable for the role, a current Working with Children Check, current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, current child protection training, a current unrestricted driver's licence, the ability to meet the requirements of a Responsible Person and/or Nominated Supervisor, and the right to work in Australia
