Service Manager

Overview:
Precision Motor Group is looking for an experienced and commercially focused service manager to lead our service and after sales operation. This is a key management position with responsibility for building a profitable, efficient and customer focused department while developing a high performing team.

The successful candidate will combine strong automotive knowledge with excellent leadership, commercial awareness and customer service standards. You will take ownership of departmental performance, processes, cost control, team development and the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the day to day management and performance of the service department.
• Set and manage departmental budgets, control costs and drive sustained profitability.
• Recruit, coach, develop and appraise the service and after sales team.
• Monitor performance, targets, KPI's and report progress to senior managment
• Deliver consistently high standards of customer care and oversee effective resolution of complaints.
• Ensure workshop, equipment and working environment meet operational and health and safety standards.
• Manage warranty processes and audits ensuring correct procedures are consistently followed.
• Lead team meetings, coaching sessions and performance discussions.
• Ensure FCA, legislative and company requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Review the local market and competition to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

About You:

• Previous supervisory or management experience within the automotive service department
• Experience of departmental financial accounts, budgeting and commercial performance.
• Strong mechanical awareness and a good understanding of vehicles and parts.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven customer service and sales ability, with strong leadership and team management skills.
• Professional, enthusiastic and approachable, with high levels of integrity, flexibility and drive.

• Earning Potential: OTE £60,000

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
