Duties

• Lead and motivate the service team, including technicians and service writers, to deliver top-quality automotive repairs and maintenance services
• Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to company standards
• Manage customer interactions from initial vehicle intake through service completion, providing clear communication and exceptional client service
• Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates, including collision repair, transmission work, brake repairs, suspension, tire services, shocks & struts, oil changes, and other mechanical services
• Upsell additional services by identifying customer needs while maintaining transparency and trust
• Coordinate with technicians on diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems
• Oversee parts ordering, inventory management, and cash handling procedures
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to auto body repair, air brake systems, and other specialized automotive services
• Track service performance metrics; implement process improvements to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Proven experience in auto service management or dealership environment with a strong background in automotive repair processes
• Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, brake systems, suspension components, tire service, shocks & struts, oil changes, and auto body repair
• Proficiency in estimating software and auto estimating techniques for accurate job quoting
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and recommendations
• Demonstrated ability in upselling services ethically while maintaining customer trust
• Service technician experience preferred for better understanding of technical workflows
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for client communication purposes
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with leadership skills to manage a busy shop environment effectively

Pay: $62,740.87 - $75,558.89 per year
