Service Manager

About the job
This is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day performance of the dealership’s Service Department. Combining strong technical expertise with people leadership and customer service, you’ll keep the workshop running efficiently, support technicians to solve complex machinery issues and ensure customers receive a consistently high standard of service.

• Lead and coordinate the Service team, managing workshop workflow, resources and priorities to deliver quality work on time.
• Provide advanced technical and diagnostic support across CLAAS and associated agricultural machinery, including complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software faults.
• Develop and mentor technicians and apprentices, building capability and promoting high standards of workmanship across the team.
• Drive workshop performance and profitability through effective job management, quality control, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Build strong customer relationships and service opportunities, resolving technical concerns, improving machine uptime and supporting ongoing customer retention.

About you
You’ll be an experienced agricultural machinery professional who combines strong technical knowledge with confident leadership and a genuine focus on customers. You’ll be comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and guiding a busy service team, while remaining organised and adaptable when priorities change.

• You have a relevant trade qualification and strong technical experience servicing and maintaining heavy agricultural machinery.
• You’re a natural leader who leads by example, supports others and builds confidence within a team.
• You’re highly organised and self-motivated, able to manage competing priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision.
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
• You’re accurate and commercially aware, with good computer skills and the attention to detail needed to manage job information, quotes, costs and invoicing.
