Service Manager

Gem City Tire – Indianapolis, Indiana

Gem City Tire is an Ohio-based independent Goodyear Commercial Tire Dealer with locations in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. We are currently seeking an experienced Service Manager for our Indianapolis, Indiana location in the Tire/Transportation Industry.

Position Title: Service Manager

Position Summary

• Full-time position
• Monthly performance bonus
• Experience in the Transportation Industry is a plus

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of all Service Department employees
• Customer service is a priority
• 100% interface with customers
• Dispatch all fleet work and road calls accordingly
• Communicate specific work assignments and responsibilities to associates
• Process repair order paperwork from beginning to invoicing
• Field incoming customer road calls and obtain all necessary information
• Contact customers for approvals and PO numbers as required
• Review and analyze performance results and take corrective action when applicable
• Organize, train, and develop all Service Department employees
• Enforce all company policies, including accident and workers' compensation paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment inside and outside of the building
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
• Transportation Industry experience is a plus

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent people relations skills
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience
• Prior commercial tire experience is a plus
