Service Manager

Location: Munster (Hybrid | 2 days per week in Kerry office, 3 days WFH or field-based)

THE COMPANY: Our client is a well-established medical device distributor with over 40 years' experience in the market. They have built a strong reputation for product expertise, customer focus and service excellence across the Irish healthcare market. Their customer base spans GPs and primary care centres across Ireland, and they are widely regarded as a trusted partner in their field. They are looking to hire a Service Manager to look after the engineering team across Ireland.

THE ROLE: This is a Service Manager position responsible for leading, managing, and developing a team of field service engineers and technical support staff. You will set KPIs and targets, drive performance, manage recruitment and development within your team, and work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure service quality and compliance are maintained at all times.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, implementing service improvements, monitoring performance data and making strategic decisions to drive future demand and customer satisfaction.

The role is Munster-based with a hybrid working arrangement — two days per week in the Kerry office and the remainder from home. Your initial training period will be based in Kerry, so expect to do a few weeks in the office.

THE PERSON: To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience leading and managing a service team industry background is open, though a medical or healthcare environment is ideal
• Experience as a Field Service Engineer looking to move into a management role will also be considered
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyse data and make strategic decisions
• Proficiency in CRM or ERP systems is highly desirable
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Qualification in Business or Engineering or similar — essential

• Base Salary: €50,000 – €55,000
