  • Monitor shop capacity, technician productivity, and bay utilization to maintain an efficient workflow and minimize downtime between jobs.
  • Track repair progress throughout the day, proactively identifying potential delays and adjusting job assignments or priorities as needed to keep work moving.
  • Communicate regularly with Service Advisors regarding repair status, additional work, delays, and revised completion times to ensure accurate customer updates.
  • Coordinate with the Parts Department to address parts availability issues and minimize disruptions to ongoing repairs.
  • Ensure approved additional work is assigned promptly and follow up on units awaiting diagnosis, parts, customer authorization, or other outstanding information.
  • Manage unfinished jobs carried over to the following day, ensuring outstanding repair orders are prioritized appropriately and completed jobs are closed promptly in collaboration with Service Advisors.
  • Identify recurring workflow issues, capacity concerns, and operational bottlenecks, working with the Operations Manager to implement improvements where needed.
  • Maintain clear communication and collaboration between technicians, Service Advisors, the Parts Department, and the Operations Manager to support an organized and productive service department.
